This Privacy Policy explains how Byte Bright ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use Ace That Interview at https://acethatinterview.ai (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information — your email address and password. If you sign up with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, email address and display name.
Profile information you provide — current and target job title, industry, years of experience and skills.
Content you submit — job advertisement URLs and their text, your written or spoken answers, and (where you choose to enable the camera) video recordings of your practice sessions.
Resume data — if you upload a resume, the file and the information extracted from it.
Payment information — if you subscribe, our payment processor collects your payment details. We receive only limited information such as your subscription status, plan and the last digits of a card. We never store full card numbers.
Technical information — standard server logs (IP address, timestamps, request paths) needed to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use your information

To create and secure your account and verify your email address.
To generate interview questions tailored to the job you are targeting.
To evaluate your answers and produce feedback, scores and suggested improvements.
To transcribe spoken answers into text so they can be evaluated.
To process subscription payments and manage your plan and usage limits.
To send transactional emails such as email verification and password resets.
To maintain the security, integrity and availability of the Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing email to addresses collected through the Service.

3. Service providers we share data with

We share the minimum information necessary with the following processors so the Service can function:

Where data is transferred outside your country, we rely on the providers' contractual safeguards for international transfers.

4. Video and audio recordings

Practice recordings exist so you can review your delivery. Video recordings are processed in your browser and offered to you as a download; they are not uploaded to our servers. Audio is sent to our speech-to-text provider solely to produce a transcript, which is then used to evaluate your answer. You can turn the camera off at any time — your voice will still be recorded, and you can also answer by typing instead of speaking.

5. Data retention

Account and profile data is kept while your account is active.
Interview questions, answers, transcripts and feedback are kept so you can review your history.
If you delete your account, we delete your personal information and associated content, except where we are required to retain records (for example, payment and tax records).

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@acethatinterview.ai. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

7. Security

We protect your information with measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords and restricted access to production systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above, and where appropriate we will notify you by email.
